About the role

This role supports marketing activity to help Greening Australia meet its 2030 impact goals, with a focus on digital marketing.

The role works closely with the Digital Marketing Lead to utilise and optimise Greening Australia’s social and digital channels and platforms to increase brand awareness and encourage conversions in defined audiences.

The Marketing Coordinator will propose approaches and ideas to grow online reach and engagement – requiring a keen interest in social media and a high degree of creativity.

A proactive approach to problem-solving and seeking improvements within digital marketing is also essential.

Greening Australia is a not-for-profit that also owns two commercial businesses – environmental markets company, Canopy, and native seed service business, Nindethana. This role may support marketing activity connected to these organisations as well as the overarching Greening Australia business.

Key Position Accountabilities

  • Develop high-quality assets for social media and digital advertising, tailored to audiences and channels.
  • Manage scheduling and delivery of content on Greening Australia’s social channels and website.
  • Community management of social media channels and management of external communications enquiries (i.e. communications mailbox).
  • Building and monitoring social and digital advertising campaigns and reporting, working with the Digital Marketing Lead to optimise.
  • Deliver requirements for marketing and fundraising campaigns under direction from the team.
  • Support broader marketing and communications team with tasks such a research, events and shoot coordination.

About you

Ideally you will bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in a marketing-related field.
  • Demonstrated professional experience in social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and You Tube.
  • Experience in digital content creation and managing social media accounts.
  • Proven experience building campaigns in social and digital advertising platforms and reporting.
  • Exceptional writing skills, and the ability to adjust writing style to fit a range of channels and audiences in an appropriate tone that engages, informs and inspires.
  • Experience with SEO, Google Analytics and Google Ads is desired and a familiarity with email marketing systems would be an advantage.
