Member for Melbourne, Adam Bandt MP is seeking a part-time Constituent Support Officer to join his team based in Melbourne.
Part-time, 3 days per week.
The Constituent Support Officer will assess and respond to incoming correspondence from constituents, oversee assistance to constituents, and work closely with the Community team on matters relating to NDIS, Centrelink, immigration, housing and other government agencies. They will use databases including VoterID and will assist in the supervision of volunteers assisting with any element of the role.
The Constituent Support Officer will work closely with the local community within the Melbourne electorate to ensure that they are represented by their local MP, Adam Bandt MP.
This position is offered under the Members of Parliament (Staff) Act 1984 and conditions are outlined in the Commonwealth Members of Parliament Staff Enterprise Agreement 2020-2023. In addition to salary, employer-sponsored superannuation of 15.4% is offered.
All employees are expected to sign a confidentiality and code of conduct agreement prior to the commencement of their employment and to undertake any training required in the workplace. This position reports to the Constituent Advocacy Advisor. A probationary period of three months, with the option of extending by a maximum of two months, will apply.
All MOP(S) Act ongoing staff will have access to studies assistance and ad hoc training that relates to your job.
