Guide Dogs NSW/ACT is the largest provider of life changing orientation and mobility services for people with sight loss in Australia. We have a trusted and recognised brand and deliver thousands of free programs to clients across NSW and the ACT each year.

A new opportunity has arisen for a motivated individual to join our team to provide administration support to the Guide Dogs Centre in Glossodia (north-west of Windsor).

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities, among others:

  • Reception duties as required and taking inbound and making outbound calls;
  • New Puppy administration; including database entry;
  • Prepare Puppy Raising Manuals;
  • Collate and update content on Puppy Central (a web-based platform);
  • Assist to set up and pack down events;
  • Providing program support for our Therapy Dog and Canine Court Companion initiatives;
  • Assist the Puppy Development team to arrange temporary care of pups as required; and
  • Other administrative duties as required.

To be considered for this employment opportunity you must demonstrate:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar administration role supporting a team;
  • Superior interpersonal and communication skills;
  • Ability to maintain client confidentiality;
  • Highly organised, flexible and able to prioritise tasks;
  • Ability to liaise with clients using patience, tact and sensitivity;
  • Ability to respond to the needs of a range of people both internally and with clients;
  • Strong computer skills, particularly using MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) and CRM systems;
  • A highly motivated professional with a high level of initiative and creativity;
  • Strong attention to detail, process driven and analytical skills; and
  • Able to manage the physical demands and inherent requirements of the job and complete the tasks and duties as stated.
