Hagar International in Afghanistan (Hagar Afghanistan) seeks to attract an experienced and talented individual to lead the Hagar Afghanistan team as Country Director.
Reporting to the Hagar International Global Programs Lead and participating in the Group Executive Team you will play an active leadership role in a federated global not for profit organisation.
Hagar is an international faith-based organisation with over 28 years of experience working with women and children who are suffering from the impact of trauma resulting from human trafficking, slavery and abuse. Hagar International delivers programs in Afghanistan, Cambodia, Vietnam, Singapore, Myanmar and the Solomon Islands, and has support offices in 6 locations around the world.
As Country Director, you will have the opportunity to set a strategic direction for Hagar Afghanistan, as well as play a key role in leading the development and implementation of high quality, innovative and holistic programmes in Afghanistan to support and meet the needs of survivors of human trafficking, slavery and abuse in the country.
The ideal candidate will be a seasoned international development program leader, with at least 10 years' experience. Previous experience working in Afghanistan or other complex environments is highly desirable.
The position is based in Kabul.
