Alkira is an NDIS registered community organisation that proudly provides a range of services to support adults with an intellectual disability and their families. We enrich the lives of and challenge individuals to be a part of their community in the eastern metropolitan suburbs of Melbourne.​

​Alkira offers specialist disability accommodation, supported independent living in people’s homes, short term accommodation, group programs, individual programs, further study for school leavers, work opportunities, holiday experiences, and support coordination.​

​About our Opportunity:​

​In this newly created leadership position, the Chief Services Officer (CSO) will play a pivotal role in implementing strategy and driving Alkira’s growth, ensuring service excellence and safeguarding, across our Home and Community Support divisions. You will be crucial in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation while also leading on strategic initiatives and providing insight and guidance to the leadership team and Alkira Board. ​​

​By leveraging data-driven insights and building strong relationships with families and stakeholders, you will elevate service delivery, shape advocacy, and drive sustainable growth, positioning Alkira as a leader in the disability support sector.​

​As a member of the senior management team, you will provide vision and leadership, model our values, behaviours and ways of working; and build the culture, capacity, and capability to deliver results for our people; our participants; their families and the communities we serve.

​You will relish the challenge of working in a fast-paced, complex organisation, delivering on an ambitious strategy and change agenda, realising opportunities to continuously evolve and improve Alkira’s services and supports for our participants.​​

​About What you will Bring: ​

  • ​You are a thought-leader, committed to Active Support, and relish the challenge of working in a fast-paced, complex sector where a commercial and persistent mindset is essential.​
  • You will bring an energy to drive success, build effective strategic direction and promote innovative ways of working.​
  • You are equipped with a demonstrated, extensive experience and technical knowledge of NDIS quality standards, regulatory requirements, and supporting framework, with a proven ability to navigate and apply these within a disability services context.​
  • You have a demonstrated track record in a public, social impact or private setting of successfully delivering high impact NDIS services, along with significant experience working with and advising executive leaders and Boards on strategic growth and business model effectiveness.​
  • You will have demonstrated skills and experience in effective people, governance, contract, risk and financial management, and enjoy leading through transformative change.​
  • You bring a minimum of 5 years senior leadership experience within the disability services sector backed by relevant tertiary qualifications in a related field.
