HWNS is currently looking for Part time and Casual Support Workers for a specialist disability accommodation model being established in the above areas.

House with No Steps supports people with a disability to have greater freedom, choice & control of their lives. HWNS is seeking motivated and caring staff to join us on our journey of change into the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS).

We are currently setting up a new Supported Living (Accommodation) service, for a customer and his family and are recruiting a team of support workers. This is a great opportunity for the right people to work within a dedicated team to support a person with a disability in both his own accommodation and in his local community.

We would like to hear from you if you possess the following essential criteria:

• Have a minimum Certificate III or IV Community Services or other relevant qualification
• Have experience working with people with disabilities/mental illness, aged or community care
• Have a passion for supporting people with a disability to achieve their goals
• The ability to listen to the people we support and provide opportunities for them to make the most of their abilities
• Willingness to follow direction and uphold a workplace culture that fosters recognition of achievement & effective teamwork
• Available to work a variety of day, afternoon, evening, sleepover and weekend shifts
• Are a good communicator (verbal and written)
• Are competent with using a computer (notably the Microsoft Office suite)
• Hold a current First Aid Certificate or are willing to obtain one
• Current driver’s licence.
