This organisation's location could be at Roma or Charleville). Travel to other Health Centre's and to other outreach locations primarily including Augathella, Qulipie, Wyandra, Morven.

Multidisciplinary Allied Health Private Practice. The Health Team are passionate about improving rural, remote and Indigenous access to health services. We believe in innovation and encourage community engagement. Our team members enjoy living and working in rural communities.

The organisation has 9 Centres across Queensland and Northern New South Wales. Currently there are 50+ professionals employed across the following allied health disciplines - Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, Dietetics, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Podiatry and Massage Therapy. They also provides Sleep Health services and is a NDIS Registered Provider.

Hours are discussed with the candidate to suit their lifestyle. There is certainly the opportunity to work slightly bigger days to have regular scheduled time off. It is very flexible to suit the candidate so can look very different depending on their work / lifestyle requirements in which case could or couldn't include after hours work incorporated into their position. However, it is not required if they don't want to. NB There is no on call work.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Occupational Therapy

Experience in a professional capacity: (desirable but not essential)

  • Private practice, working across sectors (community, health, education and disability)
  • Multi-disciplinary client centred care
  • Involvement in client care team
  • Hand therapy
  • Disability Care, optimal lifestyle and community integration
  • Aged Care, optimal lifestyle and community living
  • Paediatric Care, developmental and disability focused programs

REGISTRATION:

  • Allied Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
  • Member of Occupational Therapy Association of Australia

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Delivery of professional Occupational Therapy service, that is client goal focused and contributes to valuable outcomes to the client and/or community group; according to the standards required with AHPRA registration, Occupational Therapy Code of Conduct, and professional indemnity requirements. The professional services are within the context of community and client needs and as a member of an Allied Health team working in rural and remote community.

Involvement in services, activities and in relationships in client care teams; and involvement in community Allied Health teams (including across sectors) where the organisation is a part of an external team.
