Hearth Support Services

ABOUT HEARTH:

Hearth is a registered NDIS and TAC disability support services provider. Our pledge as an organisation is to be a driving force in changing the sector to improve the lives of people with a disability.

Hearth strives to create an environment that nurtures, supports, and engages with participants and support workers to provide the highest standard of care. We achieve this through fostering and cultivating long-term, sustainable relationships. We operate in the inner east, outer east, and bayside suburbs of Melbourne.

ABOUT THE ROLE:

We are looking for experienced, reliable, committed, compassionate, and empathetic Support Workers who want to make a difference by supporting our participants in achieving their goals and living their best life.

More specifically, the role may involve social support, transportation to medical appointments, recreational activities, and supporting participants with complex needs. It could also involve personal care, light domestic duties, meal preparation, and the use of aids or equipment such as walking frames, wheelchairs, and hoists.

BENEFITS AND PERKS:

  • A supportive working environment
  • Attractive commencement remuneration rate from $30.00 per hour (before superannuation)
  • Career development planning and the opportunity to pursue other roles in the organisation
  • A thorough matching process which ensures choice and control for both support workers and participants
  • Support from a dedicated Relationship Manager, who is your central point of contact, mentor, and trainer
  • Specialised training if required, run by leading professionals

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

Although experience is highly valued, Hearth Support Services does not hire exclusively based on qualification; we factor in your personal values and your ability to adapt, learn, communicate, and build relationships.

Prior to commencing at Hearth Support Services, we strongly recommended that you have a current Australian drivers' licence and a reliable, registered, and insured vehicle to enable sustainable employment.

In addition, you will also need:

  • Two contactable professional references
  • Disability Exclusion Scheme Check
  • Employee Working with Children Check
  • National Police Check
  • HLTAID003 First Aid Certificate

Your National Police Check, Working with Children’s check, and First Aid training will all be organised and paid for by Hearth upon commencement of employment

If this sounds like you, we would love to hear from you.
