Your role - Individualised Living Options (ILO) Exploration and Design Manager

This is a part-time role at 3 days a week - location and days flexible.

Hireup is excited to be a market leader and thought leader in the Individualised Living Options (ILO) space, working to support individuals and families to live in unique arrangements that meet their goals. This role will be responsible for supporting clients at the start of their independent living journey, focussed on helping them explore and design their ideal living arrangement.

  • Work with individuals and families to explore and design their ideal living arrangement.
  • Take customers on a facilitated journey to eventual submission of a Service Proposal and other forms to the NDIA as required.
  • Work alongside others in the Hireup Homes team who are building Hireup’s broader independent living process, ensuring that the Exploration and Design process dovetails in and out of the broader process.
  • Consolidate practical lessons from taking clients through Exploration & Design to improve the broader process of living in an ILO arrangement.
  • Take a “maximalist” approach to the quality of our service - contribute to it being not just good, but great.

Your Background

  • You’re an exceptional coach or counsellor who values being customer-led, customer-centric, and works with a strengths-based approach.
  • You are energised by jumping into working alongside customers to manage complex social, economic and relational issues in their lives.
  • You have prior experience working in the accommodation space within the Australian disability sector, and/or have social work, support coordination or case management experience.
  • It would be highly regarded if you have prior experience with the NDIS, and in particular, ILO or other accommodation services within the NDIS.
  • You have exceptional interpersonal and relationship-building skills, and the ability to work with a diverse range of individuals and families.
  • You are a creative person with a growth mindset who can thrive in a start-up environment.
  • You have exceptional problem solving and critical thinking skills, plus the ability to think outside the square in pursuit of an individualised arrangement that suits each individual person.
  • You have excellent writing skills and good attention to detail.
  • You have the ability to take the lead, self-start and drive projects from execution to completion.
  • You have strong values alignment​ - you’re empathetic, positive and proactive, and a great team player.
  • Management or leadership experience will be highly regarded.
