The Robyn Jane Children’s Centre Inc. is a not-for-profit, community based long day care centre run by parents. In an endeavour to further their operational excellence, RJCC is looking for a dynamic CEO to lead the centre. Reporting to the Committee of Management, the successful candidate will be a champion for change and have proven experience in operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

• Responsible for the general operational management of all business activities
• Driving cultural change through strong leadership
• Promoting transparency with the board and other key internal interdependencies
• Revision of policies according to best practice
• Community networking with local government representatives and key community members
• Maintaining working relationships at all levels

Key Selection Criteria:

• Proven success in similar scope of ‘hands on’ general management role (early childhood industry experience will be advantageous)
• Experience in leading a team through a period of cultural change
• Sound understanding of Industrial and Employee Relations
• Ability to implement and execute business and operational strategies
• Sound commercial and financial reporting acumen
• Networking - develop strong relationships with key local government and community figureheads
• Resilience
• Previous experience in tender and government grant applications
• Proven experience in planning for future capital improvements
• Appreciation of, and commitment to, ethical standards

Desirable Skills and Attributes:

• Previous experience in an education/early childhood setting
• Relevant tertiary and/or post-graduate qualification
• Experience in working with indigenous communities within an urban environment
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills

• Full time position with flexible working hours Monday to Friday
