Hornsby Ku-ring-gai Community Transport (HKCT) provides transport services that are responsive, innovative and flexible, to the frail aged/disabled residents and their carers, living in Hornsby and Ku-ring-gai Local Government areas. Our service was established in 1987 and is primarily funded through the Federal and State governments.

With a caring, inclusive and can-do culture the organisation is backed by a committed and forward focussed Board of Directors, and passionate and dedicated staff – both in the office and drivers directly serving our clients.

As the Executive Officer – you will ensure that staff and volunteers are adequately trained and supported to fulfil their responsibilities, ensure proactivity in meeting all obligations under the relevant safety legislation, maintain high standards of governance and ensure accountability for all funding received. Additionally you will help the Board to develop and grow HKCT in its capability to deliver high quality services and transform as necessary to expand our capacity and client offering including through innovation and expansion into NDIS or complementary services.

We are looking for a candidate with strong business management experience, with an ability to drive the organisation forward through growth, innovation and creativity. The person will have a background in being able to set strategies for building businesses, organisational development and transformation. As the leader in the team, we also require a background in compliance, process improvements and a performance record of delivering results. Goal oriented and ability to work autonomously will be key attributes as well as compassion and a desire to be providing the highest standards of service to those that utilise our offerings.

Your work history will reflect business management experience at an executive or senior manager level, inclusive of overseeing best practice service delivery, organisational development, compliance and change. You have strong commercial acumen, including financial literacy and ability to identify on opportunities for enhancement and growth.
