Based on the verge of the Melbourne CBD, Independent Disability Services (IDS) delivers Individualised Support, Financial Service and Housing Services to people with disabilities throughout the Melbourne Metropolitan area. Established and directed by people with disabilities for people with disabilities, with a belief that everyone has an equal right to a happy and meaningful life, IDS qualified staff work with participants, families, carers and other stakeholders to get the best possible outcomes for the people we serve. IDS has prospered under the changing Government programs for over 33 years.

The Board is now seeking a qualified, experienced and motivated Executive to lead and manage the organisation and to foster it's ongoing growth.

A key requirement of the role is to ensure the organisation's Vision, Mission, Goals and Values are incorporated into all aspects of the operations. The successful applicant will lead a team to deliver high quality service and financial performance while providing direction to the whole of the organisation.

Your strong stakeholder relationships and ability to identify strategic opportunities will see you furthering the activities and services through Social Enterprise initiatives that employ and enhance the lives of people with disabilities.

The successful CEO will be able to demonstrate:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant business-related discipline.
  • 5 years+ Executive leadership experience.
  • A complete understanding of NDIS Support Purpose Categories, respective funding, quality and reporting.
  • Previous experience in the delivery of disability services
  • Previous experience working with a skill based NFP Board
  • Strong leadership skills with prior change management experience
  • Exceptional stakeholder management skills.
