Inside Out Child and Family Psychology is a private practice dedicated to enhancing the emotional, social, educational, and psychological wellbeing of children, young people, and their families. We have a strong emphasis on working with families and the community to ensure a systemic and holistic approach to client care. We see a range of presentations including developmental, behavioural, emotional, and social difficulties and provide services under the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) and the Medicare Better Access Scheme. We collaborate with local schools, kindergartens, and other health professionals and specialists to achieve our mission of strengthening family resilience and supporting individuals to reach their full potential.
We are seeking motivated, skilled, and engaging Psychologists to join us! We are a clinic that supports a high volume of neurodiverse individuals, and so in particular, we are looking for clinicians with experience and passion for working with children on the Autism Spectrum and/or other neurodiversity.
This will be a contracting role. Preferred availability is 2-3 days per week initially, with the opportunity to increase if desired. Flexible hours and days of work are available.
You will have a clear understanding of neurodiverse presentations and how to support these individuals in the primary mental health care setting and under NDIS funding. You will have knowledge and experience in ASD and neurodevelopmental assessment and intervention, including the provision of individual therapy as well as group programs. Ideally, you will have experience in administration of both the ADOS and ADI-R, and cognitive assessment using the WPPSI and WISC-V. You will be competent in developing and working towards shared therapy goals to improve wellbeing for these clients and their families. A special interest in supporting children with their social and emotional skill development would be highly regarded.
We encourage you to view our website (www.insideoutpsychology.com.au) to learn more about us. For more information about the role please contact Irene Robertson on 03 8640 9934, or email [email protected] using the subject line: Psychologist enquiry via EthicalJobs.
