The Opportunity

IPC Health is a growing organisation, has a larger budget, and an increasing number of opportunities for new programs and services. This growth is accompanied by an increase in the complexity of funding arrangements and a higher demand for fiscal responsibility and accountability.

There is significant opportunity to build on the financial acumen, capability and confidence of leadership, cost centre managers and staff in their financial responsibilities as IPC Health begin to leverage the potential of these new opportunities.

With the creation of a new role, Manager Finance Business Partnering, we have adopted a robust business partnering approach to readily facilitate the achievement of our strategic objectives. Leading a Management Accountant, the Manager Finance Business Partnering will engage with our service leaders across management accounting, performance reporting, budgeting and business analysis.

This role is full time ongoing with flexible work location including work from home, offering a TRP of $133,000 - $138,500 depending on experience (gross salary + superannuation + estimate salary packaging benefit of $6,500).

Classified under the Victorian Stand-Alone Community Health Services (Health and Allied Services, Managers and Administrative Officers) Multiple Enterprise Agreement 2018-2022, you also have access to Accrued Days Off to enjoy a long weekend!

You will make a difference by

  • Partnering with all levels of IPC Health to perform the role of expert in management accounting, performance reporting, budgeting and business analysis acting as a business partner to all areas in collating and meeting the business information needs of internal stakeholders
  • Analysing and synthesising monthly and yearly results to assist in developing strategic business opportunities for IPC Health
  • Engaging with service leaders in the development of the annual business plan and budget, supporting information needs and understanding of the financial position

To succeed you will need

  • Considerable demonstrated relevant experience. CA/CPA qualified would be highly desirable, working at a strategic level, able to recognise the implications of policy decisions and of costing methodologies, quality assurance mechanisms in financial management
  • Highly developed skills in analysing complex financial data and information and producing concise and understandable recommendations, enabling quick decision making whilst balancing risk and benefits
  • Systems accounting and ICT project involvement highly desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in effective team leadership
