We invite you to be a part of the passionate, creative, and innovative team at IPC Heath. We are looking to recruit a Grade 1 or Grade 2 Paediatric Occupational Therapist to provide services in our Child Allied Health Service.

Our service provides health services, including occupational therapy, to children from birth to school entry. Occupational Therapists are part of a broader multi-disciplinary team comprising Speech Pathologists, Developmental Psychologists, an Audiologist, and an Allied Health Assistant. The team work collaboratively to provide screening, assessment, intervention and referral services. Service provision embodies family- centred care within a social model of health. Services are mainly clinic-based, however outreach appointments to early childhood education settings and child care centres are also required.

You will make a difference by

  • Working collaboratively with the Child Health Team to plan service delivery for the communities we serve in the Wyndham municipality.
  • Assessing and reviewing children’s functional occupations for daily living and engagement
  • Implementing interventions that will address the needs and priorities of the children and their families.
  • Delivering services in a variety of formats including telehealth, clinical, individual and group.
  • Reflecting, evaluating, and modifying services to enhance outcomes.

To succeed, you will need:

  • Graduate or post-graduate degree in Occupational Therapy.
  • Grade 1:
    • Some experience working in Paediatric Occupational Therapy (desirable not essential).
    • Emerging ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the daily living and wellbeing goals for children
  • Grade 2:
    • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience working in Paediatric Occupational Therapy
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement evidence-based programs that meet the daily living and wellbeing goals for children.
  • Willingness to learn, be supported by colleagues and senior clinicians.
  • Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills.
  • An ability to actively engage children and their families in service provision.
  • Current and valid Victorian Working with Children’s Check, driver’s licence and AHPRA registration.
