The Institute for Urban Indigenous Health (IUIH) leads the development, planning and deliver of comprehensive primary health care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living in South East Queensland.

Moreton Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (MATSICHS) is committed to providing holistic health care to improve the health and well-being of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people in the Moreton Bay area. We have clinics across the Moreton Bay region including locations at Caboolture, Morayfield, Deception Bay, Margate and Strathpine.

About the Role

We are looking for a Transport Drivers to join our Moreton Aboriginal Torres Strait Islander Community Health Service (MATSICHS) Margate team. You will play an important role in our overall customer service delivery and safely transport clients to and from appointments.

  • Timely pick up and transporting of clients from and to home, as well as in line with client requirements, i.e. other medical and health appointments, as scheduled
  • Ad hoc and emergency pick up of clients as requested
  • Maintain a log/record of all journeys/pick ups
  • Provide clients with respectful and courteous transport services.
  • Responsible for maintaining cleanliness of vehicles and working in collaboration with the Practice Manager to ensure maintenance of vehicles and reporting of any damage to vehicles.  

About You

  • Must have at least Dose 1 of the COVID-19 vaccine prior to commencement
  • Passionate about working for community
  • Ability to build relationship with community with a focus on providing high level of customer service
  • Current C Class Drivers Licence (QLD)
  • Current Criminal History Check (Willing to obtain)
  • Current Blue Card and Yellow Card (or willing to obtain)

Desirable, but not mandatory:

  •  Previous experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and /or communities
