About the Project

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum is undertaking a three-year project entitled “Critical Thinking is Critical: Educate, innovate, advocate against antisemitism” that is aimed at investigating and tackling antisemitism and hate-speech in Victoria by bringing about behavioural change across multiple demographics and sectors including schools, small businesses, corporations, sporting clubs, and local councils across both metro and regional Victoria.

Do you have:

  • Demonstrated 5 years plus of experience as a project coordinator and stakeholder management.
  • Relevant qualifications.
  • Demonstrated experience with relationship building is a prominent component of your role.
  • Keen project administration skills, particularly in multi-year projects working with external stakeholders.
  • Understanding and work experience working with state government
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport quickly and work with people at all levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and a dedication to data integrity.
  • Competent in the use of technology & audio-visual equipment as required by the role, including but not limited to the MS Office product suite, CRM software (ThankQ preferred), microphones.
  • Proactive, values driven, resilient and honest.
  • Proven ability to liaise at all levels within the organisation and external organisations.

The successful applicant for this role will have experience and proven track record with outstanding project coordination and relationship development and management and communication skills and be committed to enhancing the MHM mission.

We have an exciting opportunity for you to make a difference. We are looking for someone passionate about working within a museum that’s mission is to combat antisemitism, racism, and prejudice.

The Melbourne Holocaust Museum (MHM), founded in 1984 by Holocaust survivors has maintained a steadfast and enduring connection with volunteers throughout its history. This enduring connection with volunteers remains fundamental to the success of our world-class museum and Holocaust education programs.

The position of project coordinator will play a pivotal role in achieving the project’s objectives by collaborating closely with the project lead to coordinate and implement initiatives that maximise the project’s impact and reach within Victorian communities.

The incumbent will champion the impact and reach of this ground-breaking project, leveraging strategical thinking, adept relationship management, project coordinator and organisation skills in order to engage with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, government entities and the broader community. In addition, this role will play a vital role in supporting the project lead through administrative management of the project, ensuring the project advances seamlessly and consistently meets deadlines and reporting targets.

We are seeking a passionate and innovative Project Coordinator to play a crucial role in mobilising and supporting this important project.
