About the Role:

Looking for stability and set training hours/days?

Reporting to the RTO Program Manager, and working in consultation with the Training Department, we are seeking an experienced Trainer and Assessor to deliver the Certificate III and Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care through virtual learning classes and in the workplace.

This role also comprises of participating in validation and moderation of training delivery resources and materials to ensure delivery is compliant, efficient, engaging and holistic for our learners.

This exciting role, along with training delivery, will be involved in the planning, designing and developing innovative training solutions for the Early Childhood Education and Care training packages. Key Responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate engaging training delivery and support students to complete their qualification
  • Ensure appropriate learner engagement/participation and unit completion is achieved
  • Assess learner submissions and provide timely feedback and support
  • Maintain accurate learner records through the LMS
  • Liaise with Centre Directors for the delivery of training to Existing Workers and Trainees
  • Work within the guidelines of the Units of Competency to ensure accuracy of delivery and assessment requirements
  • Design and develop Units of Competency in accordance with Training Package requirements
  • Participation in moderation and validation to ensure compliance of training materials
  • Undertake professional development to ensure industry currency

Selection Criteria:

  • CHC50113 Diploma or higher in Early Childhood Education and Care
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in TAE (with upgraded units TAELLN441 or its successor or TAELLN401A) and TAEASS502 or its successor or TAEASS502A or TAEASS502B) or TAE40116 Certificate IV in TAE or a diploma or higher level qualification in adult education.
  • Minimum 5 years industry experience in the Early Childhood Education and Care industry
  • Minimum 2-3 years’ experience working in the Vocational Education Training (VET) sector
  • Possess extensive experience and exposure to instructional design with a strong knowledge of design, development and implementation of blended course content
  • Familiar with RTO training materials and Training and Assessment Strategies, and high levels of knowledge and experience in unpacking units of competency
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and collaborative approach to a team environment

The successful applicant will require a National Police Check, Working with Children Check, Current Drivers licence/own vehicle and up to date vaccinations to enable them to attend Child Care Centres.
