A children's mental health charity, KidsXpress helps to transform the lives of children impacted by adversity. We deliver trauma-informed Expressive Therapy to children under the age of 12yrs and Education Services for those that care for them.

KidsXpress is looking to expand our team in Western Sydney.

We are calling for applications from suitably qualified professionals who possess large doses of playful courage, copious amounts of creativity and extra layers of care. Most of all, you are curious about joining the specialist KidsXpress team and place children at the heart of everything you do.

As a KidsXpress Trauma Informed Education Consultant you will deliver Trauma Informed Education and Mental Health courses to teachers, parents and care-givers and work within schools and classrooms with teachers and students.

This is a part-time role, 3 days per week.

Essential criteria

• Strong working knowledge of trauma informed principles and practices for supporting children, families and communities
• Prior experience working with children impacted by trauma
• Prior experience working in schools or allied health services
• Mental health background or qualification
• WWCC number as evidence of Working with Children Check
• National Police History Check
• Flexibility and the ability to adapt to an integrative approach
