Kids Under Cover are a not-for-profit organisation dedicated to preventing youth homelessness. They provide studios for young people in family backyards and education scholarships, creating space for living and space for a brighter future.
The Role
The Asset Manager role sits within the Programs Team, and is responsible for overseeing, directing and leading the maintenance team; coordinating workflow processes and preventative maintenance plans; planning, coordination and allocation of maintenance services and resources; developing and implementing policies and best practices procedures; and ensuring the accuracy of data management systems.
The Asset Manager is accountable for:
- Support the maintenance team and Program Support Coordinator to meet KPIs
- Manage and monitor maintenance budget, expenses and equipment
- Ensure accurate database management
- Report quarterly on audit inspections and maintenance data
- Monitor and escalate all maintenance queries
- Take ownership of all studio handover appointments
- Collate studio welcome packs
- Develop and implementation on policies and procedures on behalf of the maintenance team

Experience Required
The successful candidate will process the following:
- 5 years' experience in either Property or Facilities Management
- Previously experience using the software program Salesforce is highly advantageous
- Prior leadership experience, managing a team of 2 or more
- Internal and external stakeholder management
- Impeccable time management skills
- Previous experience in the homelessness sector and knowledge of community development principles in preventing homelessness (highly desirable)
