About the Opportunity

We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled administrator to provide program support for Council’s community grant programs.

The Community Grants Officer will work collaboratively with the Community Partnerships Team to provide timely grant administrative support to community members and groups and other key stakeholders. You will have experience in the operation of Smarty Grants and be able to provide advice, guidance, mentoring and support to Smarty Grants users internally and externally. You will be an excellent communicator who enjoys working in a team environment.

This is a 0.64 EFT (24 hours per week) part-time permanent role based at our Civic Centre. We can offer a range of flexible work options for the right candidate.

This is a Band 5 classified role with remuneration between $71,622 - $83,424 (depending on experience) plus 10% superannuation.

What you will need to thrive

  • Proven experience in maintaining appropriate and effective grants administration systems, in particular Smarty Grants.
  • Highly competent in Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience in assisting with planning and implementing meetings, workshops and events.
  • Excellent communication skills including the ability to assist customers in a confidential, timely and efficient manner.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
  • Capacity to demonstrate Knox’s values in the day-to-day interactions internally and externally.
