Lithgow Community Projects Inc. (LCP) is a volunteer managed non-government organisation which has been established within the Lithgow community for over 25 years. LCP receives it core funding via the Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) under the  Specialist Homeless Services Program to deliver the Lithgow Homelessness and Housing Support Service. LCP is also a partner with Link Wentworth in the delivery of the Nepean Blue Mountains Tenancy Support Service.

The Role

This is a fixed term position for 28 hours p/w for a period of 6 months. LCP are willing to negotiate flexible working arrangements and offer salary sacrifice benefits to the successful applicant.

The key functions of the Operational Administration Officer are to:

  • Assist LCP in meeting its strategic objectives and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements, industry standards, funding and other obligations, for example through the implementation of organisational policy and procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with LCP Management team, staff and IT provider to develop and maintain cloud based information management systems.
  • Provide administrative support to the LCP Management team.
  • Negotiate outcomes and implement a clear work plan outlining tasks to be completed within the fixed term agreement.

Essential Criteria

  • Computer literacy including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other PC based software
  • Being flexible and adaptable to respond in a fast paced environment and to shifting priorities
  • Highly developed organisational and time management skills including ability to problem solve
  • Ability to work independently within a team environment
  • High level of interpersonal skills including oral and written communication
  • Demonstrated experience in the provision of administrative support
  • Working With Children Clearance

Desirable Criteria

  • Experience working in a similar role within a community service environment
