Laidley Community Centre Inc. is a dynamic, grassroots, member-based, community service organisation with an excellent reputation for supporting our local community. Over recent years we have experienced a period of organisational growth and we are now looking for the right person to join our team in a leadership role to consolidate our increased capacity and contribute to our strategic vision. The new role of Neighbourhood Centre Coordinator will oversee a range of services offered at Laidley Community Centre, reporting directly to our Manager. The person we are looking for will have excellent people skills and organisational skills, with significant experience in managing an effective team.

Specifically, we’d love to find someone who:

• Is great at engaging people, and supporting a positive work atmosphere where staff and visitors feel welcome and enjoy social connections.
• Enjoys working within systems and processes to keep things organised (such as e-filing) and recorded where appropriate (such as measuring outputs & outcomes).
• Copes well and is able to be flexible when unexpected things happen, or workload intensity increases temporarily, and can provide clear directions to the team to coordinate an effective response at these times.
• Is driven and passionate about training and supporting staff and volunteers, to enable delegation of tasks, and empower the team to respond by fostering professional development and meaningful volunteering opportunities
• Can manage multiple tasks concurrently and prioritise essential responses, recognising their professional capacity and implementing strategies to manage their workload accordingly
