About the role

As a Disability Support Worker, you will play an important role to support and empower People with disability to live independently in the community and to achieve their individual goals. You will have the opportunity to support our clients within the community and within our Supported Independent Living locations as part of these roles. 

Based in Alstonville and the surrounding areas, we have both Permanent Part Time Casual roles on offer. These roles will require successful applicants to be willing and available to work within a 24/7 roster that includes regular shift work, including short shifts, night shifts, weekends and public holidays.

Skills & Experience 

  • Certificate III in Disability, Community Services or similar &/or equivalent industry experience
  • Current Drivers Licence 
  • Current First Aid Certificate
  • Willingness to use your own vehicle for work purposes (must be comprehensively insured)
  • Ability and willingness to work a variety of shifts across a 24/7 roster including short shifts, weekends, nights and public holidays
  • Previous experience supporting People with a range of disabilities, needs and behaviours. This includes undertaking manual handling, and providing personal care. 

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
