About the role

Play a key role in leading the coordination of the workforce management process nationally and ensuring our aged care workforce is utilised in an efficient and cost-effective way. You will be a strong leader with an understanding of the challenges of rostering in an aged care setting, and can embed workforce management practices.

This role can be based flexibility from any office within our national footprint with hybrid work from home arrangements.
 
Key Responsibilities:

  • Support a geographically dispersed function and manage working rosters, ensuring compliance with award provisions, employee conditions and client needs
  • Lead the review and development of workforce plans and forecasting, based on the analysis of rostering data
  • Implement strong governance processes within the rostering function
  • Monitor the allocation of work across your team to ensure evolving program needs are met
  • Ensure client services leaders and rostering teams have the capability to develop and review master rosters that match required client service and funding levels.
  • Evaluate attendance and turnover patterns and provide regular reports and analysis to enable improvement activities
  • Conduct ongoing evaluations of current roster performance including calculations of labour and other operating costs
  • Engage with client services to help inform the business regarding client plan reviews and funding and make informed decisions on workforce readiness and recruitment needs
  • Communicate and coordinator with stakeholders as required in response to sustained workforce/roster changes and roster concerns or complaints

 Skills & Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in leading a workforce planning and rostering function that supports a multi-site and geographically dispersed workforce
  • Deep understanding of the end-to-end workforce planning process including employee contractual and industrial requirements
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to develop and deliver analysis and trend reports, supporting data driven decision making
  • An ability to coach and develop analytical skills across a team
  • Ability to work collaboratively with and provide advice and support to senior management
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in business, administration, or related field
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated understanding and / or ability to use various rostering and Microsoft Office programs

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including Nation al Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
