Life Without Barriers is a leading social purpose, not for profit organisation of 5,600 employees working in more than 440 communities across Australia. We support children, young people and families, people with disability, older people and people with mental illness. We work with people who are homeless and refugees and asylum seekers.
We want to employ people who reflect the diversity of our clients to ensure we can support each client's individual needs and wants. We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.
Life Without Barriers has been selected by the Victorian Government to operate disability accommodation and respite services, known as Supported Independent Living (SIL) and Short Term Accommodation and Assistance (STAA) currently managed by the Victorian Department of Health and Human Services. To ensure the transfer of the services to Life Without Barriers is a smooth and successful experience for participants, staff and families involved, a number of positions are now available in the transfer project.
This role will work across Disability program areas and with various stakeholders to assist with project implementation and the delivery of project plans within a team responsible for the NDIS transition component of the transfer. This will include planning, coordination, administration associated with SIL and STAA for each participant.
The position can be based in any of our offices in the Inner East or Richmond areas of Melbourne at the candidates' convenience. It is worth noting however, due to the nature of the role there will be a significant amount of local travel.
Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
