About the role

Supporting the aged care programs nationally across Life Without Barriers, the Process and Procedures Coordinator will be responsible for monitoring Aged Care reforms, identifying and implementing process improvement opportunities and ensuring clear and consistent policy and procedure nationally in order to support staff and enable optimal services to be delivered to the clients we support.

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of client service operations, with experience within aged care, strong administration skills and ability to engage and work with various stakeholders across the business. This is a permanent full-time position which can be based from any office within our national footprint, with flexibility to work days from home.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain current knowledge of developments within the Aged Care sector and changes stemming from the Aged Care reform.
  • Develop and maintain processes and procedures across all existing and new Aged Care programs.
  • Responsible for the maintenance of relevant service manuals and guidelines.
  • Document and monitor business processes, business rules, metrics and standard operating procedures as a result of improvement initiatives.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, design and implementation of new support tools.
  • Carry out business performance analysis and reporting.
  • Facilitate and provide specialist process improvement advice to business units via targeted workshops to identify and resolve specific issues that are critically impacting business outcomes and require urgent resolution.
  • Compilation of business proposal and preparation and collation of relevant reports.
  • Provide oversight of relevant service sector contractual and internal LWB KPIs as directed.

Skills & Experience

  • Tertiary qualifications (or equivalent experience) in human or social services.
  • Experience working in the social services or homecare sector.
  • Demonstrated experience in the writing of accessible policies, procedures and guidelines that support service delivery.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing competing priorities and delivering quality outcomes within agreed timeframes.
  • Comprehensive understanding of relevant legislation and service standards within the home and aged care sector.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to prepare high level written products inclusive of policies, reports, emails and other written forms.
  • Demonstrated ability to use Microsoft Office suite of programs.

Successful candidates will be required to clear probity checks including National Criminal History Record Check and Working with Children Check (where relevant to the role).
