About you

You must be a passionate, motivated and enthusiastic individual, with a positive attitude, looking for an opportunity to build rewarding relationships with the individuals you’ll be supporting.

What you need:

• A friendly and supportive nature with a positive outlook on life
• A passion for encouraging and supporting people to be the best that they can be
• The ability to be creative and open-minded as you assist people in achieving their goals
• Resilience - we all have our good and bad days and the ability to remain calm and supportive is essential
• The ability to work in a team environment
• A current full/provisional drivers licence and Working with Vulnerable People Card
• A current Provide First Aid certificate is desirable

If you’re successful, you’ll need a satisfactory pre-employment health assessment, a current National Police Check and to have completed the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality Safety and You.

What you’ll do

• You’ll provide person-centred support to people living with disability by putting people we support in the centre of everything we do.
• Provide individualised support for people based on their needs that enhances their independence, abilities, community participation and/or quality of life.
• Work in shifts that vary in length with a range of morning, afternoon and weekend shifts including sleepovers. Shifts may also vary from one-to-one support in the community, supporting people in their own homes and working in a residential setting.
• Provide a wide range of personal care services including meals, dressing, personal hygiene, and domestic cleaning.
