Living Communities is looking for a vibrant disability support worker to join our team.

The Role:

Provide Disability Support to our Participants which can include but is not limited to:

  • Community Access
  • Assistance with Daily Life
  • Decision & Thought processes
  • Casual work with flexible hours. Choose when you want to work by updating your availability in the Visual Care mobile app
  • Access to our Visual Care information and app for shifts and notifications
  • Supportive team with a family-feel, you always have someone you can turn to for work advice, questions or just a chat
  • Hour rate based on SCHADS Award
  • Various Locations from Spring Hill to Beenleigh

Individuals with a disability should never be treated as less but provided with the opportunity to participate in the community as any other person. Supports are necessary to ensure the dignity and respect of an individual. Everyone has the right to choose what they want from life, and making those choices is empowering and essential to human growth.

Living Communities exists to assist people who sometimes have their voices lost in crowded spaces. This is especially true for those who identify as LGBTQIA++.

We are here to empower our participants, providing them with ways and means to improve their quality of life.

The Requirements:

  • Current Blue card or willing to obtain
  • Current Yellow card or NDIS disability check or willing to obtain
  • A current Australian Drivers Licence, Safe & Reliable car with full comprehensive insurance and be willing to transport people in your car when required
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate or the willingness to obtain one
  • Be willing to be available to work a 24/7 rotating roster which includes mornings, afternoons, evenings, awake shifts, sleepovers and weekend shifts
  • Have an understanding or willingness to learn about the various Mental Health illnesses that could potentially be covered with Disability Support.
