We provide Aged Care, NDIS services, Meals on Wheels and Community Transport, with offices in Moree and Mungindi.

About the role

We have a permanent position available for an Operations Manager.

This is a key leadership role, managing our service delivery through the provision of effective people management and operational systems and processes to underpin our daily operations.

Key responsibilities

  • Providing leadership throughout the organisation to ensure an organisational culture that supports high-quality service delivery
  • Overseeing the organisations day-to-day operations and service delivery by providing effective leadership to all staff and implementing and monitoring the processes and functions underpinning the daily operations, including:
    • accountability for service delivery, reporting, and implementation of operational strategic plans
    • quality and compliance management for government funded and individual funding packages to achieve accreditation and high-quality service delivery
    • administrative systems
    • human resource management
    • daily operations and special event planning.

Competencies required

The essential experience and competencies required for this role include demonstrated:

  1. Strong leadership skills to support a workplace culture of high-quality service delivery
  2. Strong operational management skills, including planning, evaluation, analysis, decision‐making and delegating
  3. Experience working with government legislation, policies and standards
  4. Knowledge and experience managing staff and a broad range of HR issues, including employment legislation and awards, employee relations, HR planning, retention, performance management and professional development and training
  5. An awareness of issues relating to older people and people with disability and a commitment to person-centred service delivery
  6. Ability to manage a continuous improvement system and introduce service delivery improvements and innovation
  7. High level verbal and written communication skills, including for policy and procedure development, writing and implementation
  8. Strong group facilitation skills and the ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people
  9. Ability to manage competing demands within limited timeframes
  10. Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications and an ability to embrace new technology.
