The Executive Director, Policy & Advocacy plays a critical role in leading Mental Health Victoria’s work with the sector in the areas of mental health policy and sector advocacy.
This role is responsible for the supervision of the Policy and Advocacy team and is responsible for the design and delivery of sector engagement, and policy and advocacy initiatives aligned to the organisation’s strategic goals. As the Executive Director, Policy & Advocacy you will lead engagement with Mental Health Victoria’s Associates and allied stakeholders to form policy and advocacy networks that help deliver sector reform, particularly in creating a more collaborative, cohesive and sustainable mental health system for the benefit of the community.
The Executive Director, Policy & Advocacy works in partnership with the CEO and senior leaders, to identify new strategic opportunities for Mental Health Victoria that will ensure the realisation of the organisation’s vision and mission, extend the reach of Mental Health Victoria, and contribute to the organisation’s growth and sustainability.
As a member of the executive team, the Executive Director Policy & Advocacy will play a critical role in supporting the CEO in creating an engaged, positive organisational culture, and high performing team that delivers demonstrable value to the sector.
