The Program Officer will work to develop and support a person-centred mental health and alcohol and other drugs (AOD) system in the north western Melbourne region. This will involve working across teams to plan and deliver commissioning activities that support integrated and inclusive models of care across health services. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing provider contracts to ensure performance and promote achievement of desired outcomes
- Working with internal and external stakeholders to collect and utilise data that is relevant, timely, accurate for planning and reporting purposes
- Building and maintaining strong and collaborative professional relationships with key stakeholders to support delivery of evidence informed services
- Coordinating the development and delivery of stakeholder engagement processes and capacity building initiatives, such as workshops, forums and meetings, ensuring they are accessible and inclusive
What you will bring to the role:
- Tertiary qualification in health, social sciences or related studies and/or relevant ‘on the job'/ professional skills and expertise
- Program and/or project management expertise, with experience coordinating successful multi-stakeholder projects
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholders to solve complex health and social problems
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both written and verbal
- Understanding of the mental health and/or AOD service system (desirable)
