We are seeking a motivated self-starter to coordinate planning, grant applications, and project delivery via our Women Circles, Global Kitchens, and training programs.
You will work closely with the project mentors and the MWV finance area. So strong communications skills are a must. Your mission is to help our projects meet the delivery deadlines and within budget.
The position is one year minimum with an option to extend depending on funding available.
Please note that we have recently changed our name from VIRWC to MWV.
KEY ASPECTS OF THE ROLE INCLUDE:
- Program management/coordination including project governance framework, engagement with Project Leaders, Finance Administrator, and Communications Team, monthly and acquittal reporting, budget, risk management, evaluation, and contribution to future planning.
- Stakeholder Engagement: responsible for working with the MWV Board of Management, and our current and emerging key partners.
- Project Operational Activities: establishing, managing, completing all required tasks to ensure successful delivery of the project objectives and provide support and assistance to other project leaders
- Writing grant applications
- Communications - internal and external to community and stakeholders
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensuring operational administrative duties and processes are met
- Drafting of grant applications
- Breakdown project into tasks and estimate duration in line with project completion requirements
- Planning, project documentation, and project materials/resources
- Draft and distribute project materials
- Maintain the project folder with pictures, evidence, and required documentation
- Generate fortnightly report on progress and final project completion
- Track expenses and work on the budget forecast in conjunction with the Finance Unit
- Ensure all projects are on track with outcomes and expenditure
- Monitor progress of activities in line with the project schedule and deliverables.
- Act as point of contact for the project team and facilitate communications
- Collaborate on stakeholder presentations
- Ensure all projects and work performed are COVID-19 Safe and adhering to OHS requirements
- Collaborate with MWV sub committees as appropriate

- Ability to build positive relationships with colleagues, volunteers, and members of the MWV
- Highly organised and accurate reporting including meeting deadlines
- Ability to prepare activity reports in line with MWV’s templates
- Experience in training delivery
- Experience in project management or equivalent
- Computer literate including Google Applications and a good understanding of creative software
