- 66 hours per fortnight
In this position you can engage with young people and actively participating in activities, motivating them through their growth and development. Teaching life skills, building rapport, role-modelling positive behaviour and assisting the young people to reach their goals creates a satisfying and rewarding occupation.
Key Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring a safe home for the young people
- Manage any challenging behaviours
- Provide new and challenging opportunities for development
- Supporting the client's case plans
- Commute client's to activities, appointments and other functions
- Encourage each client to learn and development their competencies for independence
- Facilitate community access and integration
- Support appropriate cultural activities
To be considered for this position it is essential you have:
- Certificate 4 in Youth Work, Community Services, or equivalent
- Min. 1 year experience in working with young people
- Experience in working with in a residential setting
- Current Drivers Licence
- NSW Working with Children Check Clearance
- Computer literacy, record keeping and report writing skills
