Randwick Meals on Wheels Inc. is a community not for profit organisation located in the Randwick LGA. Randwick Meals on Wheels Inc. provides care and services to Commonwealth Home Support Programme recipients.

The responsibility of this position is to manage the provision of an efficient and reliable service to the Commonwealth Home Support Program target group.

Reporting to the Management Committee, this position is responsible for administration, coordination and general duties to ensure the smooth operations of Randwick Meals on Wheels:

• Service Coordination
• Daily Operations
• Administration and reporting
• Activity Planning
• Volunteer and Staff Management
• Training and Promotion
• Work Health and Safety
• Reporting and Liaising with Government departments and stakeholders
• Data entry and maintenance of client files via the data base
• Preparation of various correspondence, communications and promotional material
• Assisting with the coordination and preparation of various meetings
• Other tasks as required by the Management Committee

Essential Criteria

• A commitment to work with frail, older people adopting a wellness and reablement approach and a understanding of the community
• Well-developed verbal, written and interpersonal skills
• Competent computer skills and ability to use Microsoft suite
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Willingness to be flexible in work tasks and hours
• Ablity to work independently and within a diverse team environment
• Commitment to quality, service and the community
• Commitment to Continuous Improvement Principles
• A demonstrated ability to recognise and identify problems, carry out corrective action in accordance with relevant policy and procedures
• Ability to coordinate and support/supervise volunteers
• Class C driver’s licence with good driving history

Desirable Criteria

•  An understanding of the Commonwealth Home Support Program
• Knowledge and skills in maintaining and updating social media sites.
• Food Safety Supervisor certificate
• Early morning starts required

This position will be paid under the SCHADS award.

Salary packaging is available after a qualifying period.
