POSITION SUMMARY
Mentoring Men is a mentoring program supporting adult men in our community.
Reporting to the CEO, the Partnerships & Fundraising Manager works under limited direction. They have significant delegated authority to make decisions and exercise judgement within their role based on a deep understanding of organisational goals and expectations of performance.
The role is driven by organisational KPIs and targets set by the Board and CEO and is responsible for contributing to developing event budgets and fundraising targets.
A vital feature of the role is evaluating the success of partnership activities and programs and reporting on outcomes to the CEO and the Board.
Building relationships within the community and local organisations to build brand awareness and community fundraising activities.
POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES
Relationship Development
- Develop strong relationships with stakeholders to support and achieve income generation objectives.
- Create a strategy for acquiring, retaining, and growing philanthropic support, engagement, and revenue.
Community Fundraising and Campaign Management of events
- The planning and delivery of community and fundraising campaigns, including the Gala Dinner.
- Implementing campaigns that consist of a mix of marketing tactics for mass event participation to give prospective event participants confidence & a reason to register for our events.
- Managing commercial event sponsors to ensure long-lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships.
Fundraising
- Develop and implement revenue growth strategic plans to increase engagement with new and existing partners.
- Identify opportunities for partnerships that will provide mutual benefits to the partners.
- Identify and research new business prospects.
- Manage and write proposals and pitches (including concepts) for internal and external stakeholders.
- Forecast budgets and growth targets for Mentoring Men.
- Support the Marketing Manager in developing engagement and communication plans.
- Work collaboratively with the Programs Team to ensure partner relationships are fostered, and funding obligations are met – on time, to budget and agreed on specifications.
Reporting
- Prepare monthly and quarterly progress reports and presentations as required to meet the needs of the funding partner.
Operational Support
- Influence the operational outcomes by contributing to ongoing development and improvement through involvement in strategy and continuous improvement initiatives.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, EXPERIENCE and PERSONAL QUALITIES
Qualifications
Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
Skills & Experience
- Demonstrated experience in revenue generation, relationship management, campaigns and donor acquisition and reactivation.
- High-level interpersonal and verbal communication skills; excellent written communication and persuasive writing skills.
- End-to-end campaign management experience, including direct mail management.
- Understanding of the grant submission process and the creation of compelling submissions.
- Strong relationship-building abilities as related to corporate accounts and individual donors.

- Current "National Crime" Check.
- Own means of transport.
- Ability to work in a flexible environment.
- Ad-hoc weekend work, as required in attending events or presentations.
REMUNERATION AND BENEFITS

- Complete Salary Packaging up to $15,900 and Meals Card up to $2,700.
