Mercy Community currently have multiple Permanent Part-time and Casual positions available for Registered Nurses to join our Residential Aged Care team in Nudgee.
The Role…
As a Registered Nurse you will be responsible for coordinating person-centred care to residents and for the supervision of staff. Liaising with the Care & Service Manager, you will provide best practice resident care. Your day will involve:
- Providing safe and competent clinical management and nursing interventions in accordance with recognised standards of practice.
- Monitoring and overseeing staff practices to ensure a coordinated approach to resident care.
- Ensuring residents’ family and significant others are included in the care planning process and engaged in any decision affecting the resident.
- Coordinating and monitoring the planning, implementation and evaluation of service outcomes and nursing care standards.
- Provide person-centred care to residents, ensuring a safe environment within the facility while applying your clinical skills to improve their quality of life and independence.
- Co-ordination of resident care needs, including assessment, creating and update care plans to reflect developing needs, case management and developing individualised Care Plans
- Assisting the clinical management team with ACFI documentation and comprehensive assessments
- Providing support and supervision of Care Assistants
- Liaising with clients and their significant others, and members of a multidisciplinary team to achieve positive client outcomes
- Ensure clinical quality compliance standards are met
About You…
- Bachelor of Nursing.
- Registered Nurse with AHPRA.
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in clinical care.
- Previous staff management experience including team supervision and staff development.
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including night shift
- Previous experience in preparation of ACFI documentation
- Full (unlimited) Australian work rights and ability to obtain positive notice in a national police history check
- Evidence of an up-to-date influenza vaccination in accordance with the current Public Health Directive for Aged Care Facilities
