About the role

The primary purpose of these roles is to develop, deliver and assess mandatory competencies, training and professional development for clinical and aged care staff.  In conjunction with stakeholders, identify learning gaps/needs and drive yearly learning needs analyses.

These hands-on roles present an excellent opportunity to join a supportive and inclusive team that is dedicated to the delivery of Person-Centred clinical care. You will thrive in this role if you have strong understanding of nursing within an aged care environment in conjunction with presentation, research, written and technical skills in order to meet the development needs of staff with varying backgrounds and learning styles.  This position involves regular travel to our network of care facilities.

Applications are invited from candidates with specific expertise within one or more of the following areas within an Aged Care or Community Services environment - manual handling, dementia, management of behaviours and de-escalation or clinical skills and staff development.

Requirements of the role:

• Registered Nurse, Enrolled Nurse or Allied Health Professional with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
• Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or equivalent experience in education delivery
• Minimum 2 years’ experience in providing training to carers and nursing staff
• Experience designing, delivering and implementing education plans and programs aligned to learner needs
• Engaging and effective facilitation style
• Highly developed interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with key stakeholders
• Highly developed written communication skills
• Demonstrated planning skills that include meeting critical objectives on time
• Demonstrated initiative and ability to work with minimum supervision
• Competence in system applications including Microsoft Office and Learning Management Systems
• Drivers Licence
• National Police Clearance (obtained within the last six months)
• Working with Children Check
• Influenza vaccination
