The Rockingham Sub-Acute Short Stay service is residential service delivered in partnership with Southern Metropolitan Health Service and Access Housing. The service offers short term, recovery-focused residential care for people who are either leaving acute mental health care or who would benefit from 24 hour support to avoid hospital admission. The focus is on recovery, promoting self-education and linkages to the community to support individuals and their families heal from the effects that mental health issues can have on people’s lives.
We are seeking a compassionate, self-motivated Aboriginal Recovery Worker for a 6 month fixed term, part time (15 hours per week) opportunity in the Shoalwater/ Rockingham area. Working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, you be integral in delivering person-centred, recovery oriented supports and ensuring an individual’s identified goals and aspirations align are met.
