Mind Australia is one of the country’s leading community-managed specialist mental health service providers with a range of residential, mobile outreach, centre based and online services. We have been supporting people living with the day-to-day impacts of mental illness, as well as their families, friends and carers for over 40 years.
We provide practical and motivational support that helps people to develop the skills they need to move on, thrive and improve the quality of their lives. It’s an approach to mental health and wellbeing that looks at the whole person in the context of their daily life. Mind is committed to diversity and social inclusion.
The Pop Up Community Mental Health and Wellbeing Service (CMHWS) is a new initiative developed to meet the increased demand for mental health support as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. CMHWS provides wellbeing supports tailored to a person’s individual needs including early intervention, specialist referrals, assistance for families and carers, clinical oversight, clinical mental health assessment, treatment and acute care. The service will support people of all ages experiencing psychological distress or mental ill health.
We are seeking several compassionate, self-motivated Community Mental Health Practitioners for 10 month fixed term, full time or part time opportunities in the Melbourne metropolitan area. Working remotely, you will provide personalised outreach services to clients, families and carers consistent with Mind’s Model of Recovery Oriented Practice and the My Better Life model. As these positions require travel across a designated metro area a fleet car or car allowance is provided.
