The Recovery Retreats service is a short stay residential program funded by an individual’s NDIS package that supports clients with psychosocial disability to participate in a purposeful, relaxing break from normal daily routines in a scenic environment.
Recovery Retreats will provide personalised one-to-one support, shared supports and group activities based on client’s strengths and goals as identified in their individual recovery plan.
The service will ensure clients enjoy a positive retreat experience, empowered to try new things, build a sense of community and contribute to the co-design and co-production of various activities.
Clients are supported on their recovery journey and encouraged to build daily living skills, strengthen relationships with families and carers, enhance social connections and community networks, develop confidence and increase capacity to live safely in the community.
We are seeking compassionate, self-motivated Community Mental Health Practitioner - Recovery Retreats for causal opportunities to work weekday shifts with overnight stays (up to 3 nights) in scenic locations across the Melbourne metropolitan and regional areas.
You will provide positive enriching retreat experiences and deliver person-centred, recovery-orientated services to encourage clients to try new things, participate in activities, build resilience and life skills, develop social and community connections, and increase capacity to live independently.
As this position requires travel across the metropolitan and regional area paid expenses, transport and accommodation is provided.
