About the role

As a part of Organisational Performance, the Finance business unit is responsible for the key functions of financial operations, finance systems, management reporting, external reporting and asset management. The aim is to achieve consistent service delivery and comply with internal and external policy, standards and practice.

We are seeking a high-performing, experienced Systems Accountant for a permanent, full time opportunity to work at our Central Office in Heidelberg. You will act as the system administrator for TechnologyOne and drive automation, innovation and integration to enhance efficiency and support future growth of the business. The Systems Accountant will also produce financial reports, meaningful information and training to enable Managers to understand financial data and performance targets.

Key responsibilities

  • Develop workforce strategies to support service provision and represent Mind at key sector initiatives, forums and working groups.
  • Focus on business sustainability and agility as well as undertake governance tasks supporting efficient, contemporary service delivery.
  • Manage finance software and deliver automation, innovation and integration of systems with Finance, IT, stakeholders and providers.
  • Work with the Financial Controller to prepare funding acquittals, statutory Financial Statements, monthly Management Reports and financial reports for FAaR.
  • Build relationships with Managers and enable understanding of financial reports, performance data and variance reports.

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary degree qualifications in Accounting, Finance or Commerce with a Major in Accounting and a full CPA, CA or CIMA membership.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role with proven capability managing and administrating an ERP system.
  • Understanding of the NDIS and familiarity working in Community Services, Healthcare, Social Housing or Government sectors is desirable.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills with ability to perform financial and operational analysis.
  • Superior knowledge of TechnologyOne or similar ERP, Power BI or dashboard reporting tools and advanced Excel skills.
