We are seeking experienced Disability Support Workers committed to delivering high-quality services in an empathetic, professional, friendly and supportive manner.

YOUR ROLE:

In this interesting and satisfying role your main responsibilities include:

• Providing person-centred support that enables each client to express choice and control in the types of supports and activities offered
• Assisting clients with all aspects of their daily lives including personal care, meals, behaviour support, medications, transport and communications
• Working independently and as a member of a small team to contribute to care plans by documenting behaviours and other client-focused information

YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

To be considered for this role you should have:

• Demonstrated experience in the disability sector delivering person-centred services for people with complex intellectual disabilities or equivalent experience in another sector
• Well-developed communication and interpersonal skills
• Experience in supporting clients with challenging behaviours would be highly regarded
• A current National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain a clearance). Staff who work with children will be required to have a current Working with Children Check
• An appropriate visa that entitles you to work in NSW
• A current First Aid Certificate and NSW Driver’s Licence is preferred but not essential

Job Types: Part-time, Casual

Salary: $26.96 – $38.20 per hour depending on qualifications
