The role:

Mission Australia is the Lead Agency for Partners in Recovery (PIR) – North Coast NSW. Partners in Recovery aims to support people with severe and persistent mental health issues with complex needs, and their carers and families.

This position supports the Program Manager in the operations of PIR. Exciting opportunity to take the next step into project coordination, presenting and provide training and workshops for PIR.

Duties:

  • Program Coordination – Within a team environment undertake monthly reviews and regular monitoring activities to ensure  quality  program delivery,  Support the development, implementation and evaluation of strategic planning activities and processes for the successful transition of PIR participants to the NDIS
  • Staff Support- Identify, coordinate and facilitate  training and development activities for staff
  • Relationship management – develop and maintain relationships with external community stakeholders, community members and service providers

 Qualifications & Experience:

  • Previous experience in relationship and contract management
  • A solid understanding of the mental health service system in the region including clinical and non-clinical services
  • Knowledge of mental health policy and legislation, including the National mental health standards
  • Cross cultural competence and demonstrated understanding of the current and historical issues impacting the wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
  • Desirable: Knowledge of / willing to learn about the NDIS and the processes

This role can be located in Sawtell or Port Macquarie, and will require some travel across the Mid and North Coast.

As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National criminal history check.
