The Government is establishing a new service to assist young people aged 15-21 years who are not in employment or education. The Transition to Work service will provide intensive, pre-employment support to improve the Work readiness of young people and to help them into work (including Apprenticeships or Traineeships) or education. The service will have a strong focus on helping young people to understand what is expected in the workplace and to develop the skills, attitudes and behaviours expected by Employers.
The Youth Employment Specialist is responsible for assisting young people gain sustainable employment and / or education through helping them overcome their vocational and non-vocational barriers to employment.
As part of our Employment screening process you will be required to undertake a National criminal history check.
In addition there is a requirement to possess a current Working with Children check or apply if you do not already hold one. It is unlawful for prohibited persons to apply for work with children, and, as such, prohibited persons cannot apply for this role.
