About the Role

Primary Care Support Team, as part of the Community Assessment and Response Team (CART) offers a variety of programs that assist individuals to manage chronic health conditions, focusing on the assessment and delivery of client focused care. This is a new service in Monash Health and an exciting opportunity to be part of our growth.

The CART team consists of Allied Health Assistants, Care Coordinators, Community Development Workers, Counsellors, Diabetes Nurse Educators, Dietitians, Exercise Physiologists, Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Social Workers, and Podiatrists. We are committed to working with communities, families and individuals providing high quality, multidisciplinary programs which embrace client centred care, evidence based practice and the Social Model of Health.

We are looking for an enthusiastic Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist to join us at our Cranbourne community site, this is a part-time ongoing role (0.4 EFT).

A Day in the Life

The Grade 1 Exercise Physiologist will provide individual evidence based exercise physiology assessment and intervention to clients with a wide range of clinical presentations, often presenting with multiple co-morbidity. They will also be involved in running groups. You will be provided with clinical supervision and support from a senior exercise physiologist as well as support from the leadership team.

What you need

  • Bachelor of Exercise and Sports Science or equivalent as per Exercise & Sports Science Australia (ESSA) approved courses 
  • Meets eligibility criteria to be an Accredited Exercise Physiologist (AEP) 
  • Current accreditation as an AEP (desirable)
