Are you a passionate genetic counsellor looking to make a meaningful impact in the field of genetics and genomics?
As part of a new Melbourne Genomics Health Alliance (MGHA) funded clinical care intervention, we have an exciting opportunity for a skilled genetic counsellor to join our laboratory team.
Laboratory genetic counsellors play a vital role in the effective delivery of the VCGS genetic and genomic test suite. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support for a trial and evaluation of a Contact Service aimed at supporting paediatricians to request Medicare funded exome testing.
This is a 12-month 0.6 position, reporting to the Head of Service Delivery and Development. You will work closely with the clinical liaison team, laboratory genetic counsellors, VCGS clinical genomics laboratory and the MGHA research team to ensure the success of this intervention.
Your responsibilities will include accurate communication of information to health professionals, contributing to the development of the MGHA website content, collecting and overseeing the collection of process and outcome data, providing education to health professionals, and collaborating with key stakeholders to establish efficient processes for timely support delivery.

Victorian Clinical Genetics Service (VCGS) is a not-for-profit subsidiary of the Murdoch Children's Research Institute (MCRI)
