My Place is an organisation that works in partnership with each person with a disability to pursue the lifestyle of their choice and to have their individual needs met by people they choose and trust.
My Place is currently seeking a female, to move in with and provide live-in support to a person with a disability. You don’t need to have previous experience but you do need to be genuine in your desire to share your life and be prepared to work to make a positive difference by enriching someone else’s life, as well as your own.
The role will involve assisting the consumer with all aspects of day to day life, including personal care, attending medical appointments, shopping, accessing the community and domestic tasks.
My Place will provide any training required as well as ongoing support from one of our Coordinators. National WA police clearances under twelve months is necessary.
No experience necessary but must have driver’s license, own car and police clearance.
Successful applicants will receive training, buddy shifts, supervision and a staged transition to this role.
