My Place is an organisation that works in partnership with each person with a disability to pursue the lifestyle of their choice and to have their individual needs met by people they choose and trust.
My Place is currently looking for co-residents to move in with and provide live-in support to a man with a disability who is moving into his own home, close to the CBD. He enjoys reading, going to the gym, art, fine foods and enjoying Perth’s finest coffee. He is well travelled and has a lifetime of amazing stories to share, you’ll never be without great conversation.
The successful applicant will receive free accommodation and an attractive salary in exchange for providing support while living at the home. The support involves assistance with aspects of day-to-day life which may include daily living support, domestic assistance and accessing the community. Whilst previous experience is not essential, it is highly preferred as well as a genuine desire to share your life and be prepared to work to make a positive difference by enriching someone else’s life, as well as your own.
My Place will provide Senior First Aid Training, two-day Orientation training as well as any additional training required and will also provide you with ongoing support from one of our Co-ordinators. You will need to undergo a medical and successful completion of the NDIS Workers screening and NDIS Worker Orientation module.
