The Organisation

Clever Care NOW are a dynamic and entrepreneurial organisation, providing home nursing, patient transport, social support, and mobile physiotherapy for the growing needs of the community.

Formerly known as Nurses On Wheels, they have been delivering quality care since 1959. With the values of dedication, integrity, compassion and excellence. Clever Care NOW strive to support individuals to live an enriched life.

Based in Caringbah, Clever Care NOW has a staff of 30 and supports more than 300 people in the community, in addition to overseeing a number of social enterprises, Clever Care NOW continue to have significant growth plans at the forefront of their strategy.

The Role

Reporting to the Board, you will have responsibility for guiding the organisation through its next stage of growth and development while continuing to progress the current breadth of programs and services.

The key areas of responsibility will be:

  • Providing vision, inspiration and leadership to the organisation
  • To provide growth opportunities to the Board for current businesses as well as new opportunity areas
  • Ensuring the high quality and compliance of service and program delivery
  • Representing organisational needs and priorities to key stakeholders
  • Collaborating with federal and state agencies and demonstrating sector leadership
  • Ensuring strong financial performance and high quality governance
  • Advise the board on policy, strategy, organisational risk and financial wellbeing

Skills Required

You have a demonstrated track record in running and growing an organisation and taken it to the next level of performance. You have developed your executive career in health, human services, like-minded organisation or corporate model. You have previously managed a diverse team in the delivery of a broad range of programs and services and led them to grow the organisation. Your leadership and operational management skills are at the core of your success.

Your experience includes:

  • Strong commercial acumen and a demonstrated track record of success in developing new opportunities and partnerships
  • Strategic leadership at an organisational level and demonstrated sector development
  • Success engaging and working collaboratively with key stakeholders
  • Negotiation and management of government and non-government funding
  • Working with a board of governance, with the ability to drive strategic planning
  • A record ensuring organisational governance, risk management and financial sustainability
